Virtus is dead. Long live Virtus!

Recently got off the phone with Richard Spencer from Alternative Right, and Virtus will no longer be a column there. The articles written for Virtus, including my own, will be kept there, but re-categorized. There was no big ideological break or bad blood, Richard just wanted to streamline the site a bit and my little “men’s studies” corner was kind of extraneous and out of place. Also, I didn’t really have the time to hammer away at current events in a way that would have made the blog a “must read.”

I still have some pieces in the works for Alternative Right, and I will be making further contributions to the site at my leisure.

I may revive Virtus at a later date as a stand-alone blog, or in some other form. If any men would be interested in participating in this sort of project based on the kinds of things I was writing about for Alternative Right, please drop me a line.

However, at the moment…after a very productive 9 months or so of writing for The Spearhead and Alternative Right, I think I’m going to relax and enjoy the summer a bit.

I may even do a little painting.
