MISCELLANY: “Zahnrad” apparently means “gear” in German. I found the image above on the Wikipedia site for “zahnrad.”
The gear reminded me of the wheel in the Tatenokai flag.

This tattoo design is a variation on Mishima’s original design for the Tate no kai’s flag, etc. I changed the “wheel” design found on the orginal to a skull, which seemed particularly appropriate. I don’t think Mishima would object.
